We are delighted to offer this stunning new collage to celebrate the ongoing stellar career of England’s record-breaking batsman Joe Root. 2024 saw Joe Root set new English test batting records, previously held by legendary opening batsman Sir Alastair Cook – on 31st August at Lord’s against Sri Lanka he scored his 34th test century in the 2nd innings passing the previous record of 33 – which he reached in the first innings of the match. Just 2 months later he passed Cook’s record test tally of 12,472 runs, reaching 71 against Pakistan in Multan – going on score his highest test score of 262 as part of a staggering England total of 823/7 declared.
The 2024 records feature in the collage along with images of his maiden Test century, scored against New Zealand at his home ground of Headingley in 2013, his 1st Ashes Century at Lord’s in 2013 and an image representing his time as England captain – another England record – leading his country in 64 tests from 2017 to 2022.
Joe Root has been a key player for England across all formats – Tests, ODI’s and T20’s and helped England to their historic World Cup win in 2019 – the collage contains a dynamic action photo taken during the tournament that perfectly captures the balance and skill of England’s greatest batsman.
The collage is available as a single print with all the images and caption information in place or fully framed with each image and caption individually window mounted – ready to hang on the wall.
